Sorry, can you tell me your name again?
I’m sure that sometime in your life someone has mispronounced your name and maybe you did it too.
It may be an honest mistake, but people’s name has great impact on them. It was chosen by their parents at birth, especially for them and it is part of their identity.
When facing this small issue, some choose to let it go without pointing out the mistake when others gently correct the person. We personally think that is best if you just kindly ask the other to repeat it until you get it. Of course if you’ re not familiar with a name like Narantsetseg you can ask them if you can use a short version like Nara.
Remember! Names are just as important as the people you are talking to, so pay a little more attention.
